Instructors

Jack Arnold, Chief Instructor
[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  Jack Arnold, Chief Instructor founded Aikido Daiwa in 1980 and has practiced Aikido for over forty years. He has attained the rank of rokudan (6th degree black belt) and has been awarded the title of Shihan (master instructor) from Sensei T. K. Chiba Shihan, director of Birankai International. In November of 2006 Arnold Sensei received his Hombu Shihan Title from Doshu M. Ueshiba. Arnold Sensei holds black belts in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu and is a member and former Chairman of the Senior Council of Birankai International.


Fred Fujioka
[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  Fred Fujioka has practiced Aikido since 1970 and has attained the rank of yondan (4th degree black belt).


Toma Rosenzweig
[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  Toma Rosenzweig has practiced Aikido since 1974 and has attained the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt) and has been awarded the title of Fukushidoin (Assistant Instructor) by Birankai International.


Kathy Alteri
[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  Kathy Altieri holds the rank of fourth degree black belt and is a certified instructor at the Shidoin level in Birankai International. She has been teaching Aikido for more than twenty years, and currently is an instructor for adult classes at Aikido Daiwa.


Teryne Dorret
[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  Teryne Dorret has practiced Aikido since 1988 and has attained the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt). She currently teaches adult classes.


Adrian Lunn
[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  Adrian Lunn has been practicing Aikido since 1987. He studied for many years in Connecticut with Sensei Juba Nour, an original uchideshi of T.K. Chiba, Shihan. Lunn has attained the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) and teaches both children and adult classes.


[ Aikido Daiwa Logo Symbol ]  AIKIDO DAIWA is affiliated with Birankai International under the direction and support of T.K. Chiba, Shihan (Master Instructor) hachidan (8th degree black belt), and also with Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

Classes are offered on an ongoing basis and beginners may start at any time. If you are interested in Aikido, you are welcome to visit Aikido Daiwa and observe a class - you may take your first Aikido class for free. Please call in advance and come to class wearing comfortable loose fitting clothes while leaving your jewelry at home. Uniforms can be purchased at Aikido Daiwa. Classes are offered at the following times:

Aikido Daiwa
Class Fees
Aikido Daiwa charges $160 to join and that price includes the first two months of training. After that it's $100 per month.

The dojo is open every day and you may train as often as you like.

Uniforms and training weapons are available at the dojo. For other prices such as teens, children, family rates, etc. please call the dojo.
